Inferno AAU Basketball
- Tournament Info
- Tournament schedules will be provided by coaches. These events are a definite for the year. There is a possibility another event could be added, but it would be a local event.
- Hotels
- All parents are in charge of booking hotels. We will provide a block of rooms at events, but you are not required to stay there.
- Attendence
- All players are required to attend unless prior agreement has been reached and plenty of notice has been given. We will have alternates who can help sub in to fill rosters.
- NOTICE: if a player does not show or calls last minute unable to make it (unless it's an emergency), we will contact our alternate and they will take over that roster spot. It's not fair to the others to play shorthanded.
- Cost
- Total cost of the season is $500 ($580 with uniforms). All fees are due by March 31st. If they have not been received, then the player will be dismissed from the team without refund of any payments made. Discounts for multiple players.
- Fundraising
- We will have two fundraising opportunites. First is our raffle drawing, with $100 raised going to Inferno Program.
- Everything else after is money paid to fees for season.
- Second raffle is internet sponsoring. Same applies to the raffle (first $100 goes to program).
- These are set up to help fund the fees, but also raise money to help get new basketballs and training equipment for our program. We would like full team participation.
- Practices
- We will be able to provide monthly calendars for practice times. We will try and do two practices a week. It's not mandatory to make both. We just want to provide the most training possible.
- What to expect from being a part of the Inferno?
- Our main goal of this program is to develop players and provide the tools to improve their basketball skills. We also want to make this program more than just basketball. We want to provide an atmosphere that allows not only the players, but also the parents to become a close family. Our coaches are dedicated to building up our players and working hard to give them the best opportunity. We want this to be an experience that will bring them future success, lasting friendships and memories they will take with them.
- Structure
- We will play every player on the team in games. It will not be a 50/50 deal, but you will play. Our main goal is NOT to win, but develop every single player in this program. We will play to win because winning is fun, but we are working to better them all. Our offense will simply be a run and gun style with a set to help. We will press and play man defense. Development - we will work on speed and agility, ball handling, shooting, reading defense, quicker first steps, learning to play off the ball and aggressiveness. We want to play, not be robots. Our training will improve players who are willing to go 100% all the time.
- Tryouts
- We will take 10 roster spots with alternates. Alternates: understand you will be allowed to practice all year at $100. You will be allowed to attend events in case of roster shortages. At that time, you will pay the cost of the event. This way you are still getting the training. Everyone will be contacted the following day Feb 11th letting you know your spot. You have exactly three days to respond and give a yes or no. That way we can move on jerseys and NCAA certification.
